Different Kinds Of Flokati Rugs

As with many products, Flokati rugs are offered in a variety of types or styles. These types or styles are commonly referred to as “grades”. Knowing how to assess the grade of a Flokati will help empower you in your search for the right Flokati rug for your home. The grade of a Flokati rug simply refers to its weight. It is important to note that Flokati weights are not measured in pounds but in grams. This is typically the accepted standard measure used in order to assess the quality of a fabric. It is the amount of grams that ultimately places a Flokati rug into one category or grade rather than another category or grade. The categorical system for Flokati rugs is a relatively new system which was developed in order to determine the amount of wool in a Flokati rug and classify Flokati rugs. Grades of a Flokati rug will vary and range anywhere from as low as 1,000 grams/m² to 4,000 grams/m² (m² = squared meters). In simple language, this means that the more wool found within a squared meter of a Flokati the greater the grade and ultimately the greater the thickness and fullness of your Flokati rug. Whether you are interested in a lighter grade of Flokati or a heavier grade of a Flokati rug, your choice of a Flokati should include several factors such as the location of your Flokati rug, and the amount of traffic you expect the Flokati rug to receive. New Flokati - 1,400 Grams- Also known in the industry as the "Standard Flokati", the New Flokati is one of the more popular grades available. Many times, a lighter or "lesser" grade of Flokati rug is passed off as the New Flokati grade. Our Flokati features 1,400 grams/m² of wool. Most sites and retailers offer this grade of Flokati rug at a very low price but DO NOT BE FOOLED. Most sites do not sell as advertised, and may promise a 1,400 gram Flokati area rug at a great price, but deliver a much cheaper imitation!

3A Supreme - 2,000 Grams- This grade of Flokati is also known in the industry as the "Premium" or "Heavy" Flokati. It provides a thicker, plusher pile, when compared to our New Flokati quality and just as our New Flokati quality, it is offered in various colors. In fact, our 3A Supreme Flokati offers about 40% more wool than our New Flokati grade. We like to call that, bang for your buck. Just as with the New Flokati quality, many websites offer the Supreme or "Premium" Flokati, at what they consider to be a "premium" price, but they often fall short. Our Supreme Flokati rug is a 2,000 gram Flokati rug, no if, ands or buts about it. We wish we could say the same about other sites that offer a "Premium" or "Heavy" Flokati rug, but then we'd just be lying!

4A Extreme Flokati - 3,000 Grams- One step up the "Flokati Quality Ladder" and you'll find our Extreme 3,000 Gram Flokati rug. This is one of the plushest Flokati rugs you can find on the market. Again, you may find this grade of Flokati on the market using terms such as "Super Heavy" or "Super Thick", but there is only one real 3,000 Gram Flokati rug on the market today: The Extreme Flokati. In fact, our Extreme 3,000 Gram Flokati rug is so true to its descrption, it's thicker than many 4,000 gram Flokati rugs on the market (that's cause other sites just aren't being honest)!

5A Ultimate Flokati - 4,000 Grams- We've saved the best for last: The Ultimate 4,000 Gram Flokati rug. This is by far the thickest, fullest, plsuhest Flokati rug anywhere. But what about the other 4,000 gram Flokati rugs offered on other sites?, you may ask. They can call it what they like, but needless to say, they don't quite live up to the hype. Our Ultimate Flokati rug, is the Ulimtate Flokati rug. You won't find a better Flokati area rug on the market. We guarantee it!
